I will be watching. Not a fan of Trump, not particularly partial to Obama either, but I am celebrating the peaceful transition of power.

I grew up (until I was 9) in a South American country that did not have peaceful transitions of power. I have vague memories of some of those moments and they’re terrifying. I can’t take days like today for granted.

The election is over and I am super happy the Clintons are gone out of D.C. and into history.

I assume by ‘repair international relations’ means simply telling the world that they had better do things we tell them to do, or else we will crush them with our economy or military. Just like in the good old days. That doesn’t sound much like an improvement.

And Obama did plenty of good things, but also some very ugly things. Our actions in Yemen for and on behalf of Saudi Arabia are just as egregious as Russia’s actions in Syria, though on a somewhat smaller scale. (Ironically in both countries the real bad actor is probably Saudi Arabia, but that doesn’t seem to get the kind of traction necessary). Donald Trump will probably continue a lot of the things Obama is doing internationally, but will put an ugly face on it that will make people stand up and do something about it.

Depends. If your goal is to ensure we make extensive use of the military we will be dumping endless amounts of money into (at the expense of, well, everything else), then this will be a YUGE improvement.
