  I thought the same thing. I guess they were thinking that recruiting opens up tomorrow, but still odd to do it in the middle of recruiting.

    Chip Kelly is the best coach that is available. I would be very surprised if Cal doesn’t try to get him. There are rumors that Najee Harris was looking at switching his commitment from Alabama to Cal. I wonder if this coaching change has anything to do with that.
