Hiring Polamalu as RB coach is risky

He’s a smash mouth football guy. Taylor is not. Last thing we need is differing philosophies on the sidelines. We need an offensive identity and we need to stick to it.

They were picked to win the south, Porn Stache Rosen got hurt, they had next to no running game, and they went 4-8.

He tried to implement a pro style offense with a team that was built for a spread offense. They had no tight ends or full backs, OL couldn’t pass block worth a damn which allowed defenses to hammer Rosen.

Alabama runs a spread offense that is run-heavy (run-pass-option). I think this is what Whittingham prefers.

We don’t really need an upgrade in philosophy as much as we need a change in individual skill development and situational play calling.

No air raid offense has ever won the PAC 12.  The defenses are too good and the receivers don’t hold up.

Not sure just because it hasn’t happened that means it won’t but that being said – why hire Taylor if that’s the belief?

Because he isn’t a leach air raid offense. It’s a true spread offense that’s adaptable to personnel. Expect a heavier running game than at EWU.
