As of right now the poll has had a total of 269 votes through 1 day.
The poll on UF.N (that hasn’t been updated since the week leading up to the Fresno State game) has a total of 134 votes.
Speaks to the volume of activity so far on this forum.
I hope it keeps up.
I never noticed the activity on the UFN polls. That’s pretty awesome we’ve had that many votes!
I lost all interest in the UFN polls just because of the updating of it.
The current and first poll should top 400 votes today sometime. That’s awesome.
Not even half way through the day and its already there.
Can users post polls or only administrators?
Or, can we create polls in a post like some other boards I’ve seen?
The polls which appear outside of the forum or main site content areas are created by admins. There may be a poll option for within posts.

I really want the ability to insert polls into posts themselves. It is a great way of gathering data.
Spent a few minutes googling about this. Doesn’t look like there are any solutions worth a damn for inserting polls into this forum engine. I could always change the entire site to a different system… Then again, I might choose something easier, like climbing Mt Everest.
Well thats disappointing. Oh well.
I had a couple of paths I could have gone down with regards to what forum engine to use, and those were dependent on larger site engines I specialize in. This one is wordpress based while the option I didn’t use is Joomla based. Both have advantages and disadvantages. The joomla one is more robust in the forum features for sure, but WP is easier for templating and tweaking and this engine seemed sort of unique and less phpBB-like.
Down the road it is possible to change to something else if we outgrow this current one. So far this has been running very well, fast, and no crashes or anything (knocking on wood now).
