2008 National Champ replied to the topic New Recruit Additions in the forum Football 7 months, 2 weeks ago
I know you’re joking but with the new roster limits and teams devoting more spots to the portal, the chances for HS recruits are getting smaller. Better to take the guaranteed spot for a year than decommit at the last minute if you don’t have another landing spot already set up.

Give me a simple iPhone offense over the BS we’ve seen from Ludwig the past few years

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Two things I don't understand about the Ute Fan base (at least online) in the forum Football 7 months, 2 weeks ago
Boise State is a glorified community college. It’s UVU teleported into Idaho. Their academics suck, which is the reason they will never enter any P4 conference not called the Big XIi. The name “Boise State” is radioactive to any university that values academic prestige.
I don’t hate Boise State but I did find the attitude of their fans…[Read more]

Is it safe to assume that all 3 Hawaii kids and maybe 1 of the California Poly’s will be missionaries?

@Utah: I also didn’t have an opinion on Harlan until the Tom Farden debacle. To keep a coach in his position after women athletes were claiming abuse in this day and age is unacceptable. And yet he made it worse by running an investigation which allowed Farden to keep his position and then had to fire him right before the season after more…[Read more]

Not coincidentally, the first 3 games of that losing streak were after Huntley got injured and Troy Williams couldn’t run the quick passing game at the same level.

Yea Alex just posted on X “It’s coming down to the finish line for OC Mack Leftwich, between Utah & Texas Tech. Will another surprise team pop in? It’s been a crazy few days. Leftwich is in Utah today. There’s mixed info on the amount of interaction that he’s had with Texas Tech today. Stay tuned.”

Hard to put aside the ‘childish behavior after the BYU game.’ It made national news and re-enforced negative stereotypes of Utes fans (and by extension the University)–we’re entitled, hate our league etc.–which may be true–but not something your AD should want to reinforce as a major representative of the University.
Ive always seen him as an…[Read more]

The offense has been frustrating at best this year and last year but at the end of the day most college football fans would have loved to have Whitt as their teams coach for the last 20 years. I am grateful for what he has done but hope he stays true to what he said about a simplified offense to keep up with the changing world of college football.

No one is saying Kyle is dumb. He’s had success because his method (and his defense) is tried and true. But the thing is, it only works until it doesn’t. And when it doesn’t…

Everything I’ve seen on Tavian is him keeping his commitment. And honestly whoever the new OC is will be a welcome sight to any skill position player here. On the roster or recruit.
