We desperately need D-line talent. We have no viable backup DT’s and Fano is our only good DE. Fitzgerald and Daley could improve, but it’s not a guarantee.

Said a few times, going from MWC to PAC was a massive upgrade. From PAC to Big12 was a drop off in football, but arguably a small upgrade in hoops.

Good points, I’ve thought about this a lot too. The reality is Washington and UCLA are pretty much destined to be what Michigan State and Iowa are at best in the Big-10. Come on guys…we had a guy, Dorian Singer, who was a year removed from being an All PAC 12 First Team WR and we couldn’t exploit his outstanding capabilities. Based on that, I’m not going to lose any sleep whether we are able to recruit some HS 5 Star kid.

Going to the Big 10, as currently constituted, would be a good thing, generally speaking, for the U. However, would it specifically be good for Utah athletics? I’m not so sure. I will admit, that while I’m not thrilled about the Big-12, particularly being in a conference with schools in the Central and Eastern time zone (though I love having TCU back), I’m glad we are still in conference with Colorado, ASU, UA, and even BYU.
