They are just over half way through the countdown, having released #29 today.
So far, it is an even split for the lead between Utah, USU, and BYU each with 10 players on the list. Weber State has the other 2.
Looking at who they have listed for Utah so far, and who is not listed, I’m thinking it is very likely Utah ends up with 25 or 26 players on the list with an outside shot at 29 or 30. If that happens, that means we will have 15-20 of the top 28 spots on this list!
Utes on the list so far:
#56 John Penisini
#46 Donavan Thompson
#42 Mika Tafua
#41 Pita Tonga
#40 Cody Barton
#38 Siaosi Mariner
#37 Javelin Guidry
#35 Samson Nacua
#33 Darrin Paulo
#30 Armand Shyne
Additional Utes I expect to see in the remaining 28 spots: (in alphabetical order)
Jordan Agasiva, Bradlee Anae, Corrion Ballard, Jackson Barton, Julian Blackmon, Marquise Blair, Britain Covey, Lo Falemaka, Leki Fotu, Matt Gay, Chase Hansen, Tyler Huntley, Jaylon Johnson, Zack Moss, Demari Simpkins, and Mitch Wishnowsky – If Francis Bernard was on the roster when they made the list, I think he would have made it too.
A few others who have an outside shot, though I seriously doubt they make it: Bronson Boyd, Solomon Enis, Devonta’e Henry-Cole, and Maxs Tupai.
Wow. I remember just two years ago the split was even between Utah and BYU at 20 a piece.
Local media blah blah blah.
For whatever reason, I just can’t get myself to become interested in the 60 in 60. I don’t trust the results so I’ve never felt it was worth the mental investment to follow it.
I wanna say they had Heaps above a lot very high quality athletes that Utah had years ago. Something ridiculous where you can’t even take them seriously. It isn’t honest just media getting BYU ears to listen.

Above list is taken from the Utezone ranking. Curious How Repp is currently the starting DE and not on any Utezone member has him on their list. I doubt Jordan Agasiva makes the 60 in 60 list. Utah should end with roughly 23 players, remaining 14 should all be top 20 players.
They put friggin Canada ahead of Shyne.
Also of note: they put Bernard in at Utah
