Amidst the wailing and gnashing of teeth, I’d like to point out that our defense

was absolutely incredible.  For everything the offense is not, our defense is.  It is fast, aggressive, fulfills assignments, etc.   We do need to teach them how to run with the ball apparently though.  

Considering the refs being on the take, the ejections, and 3 turnovers they kept us in it and we would have had a chance to win with an even partially able offense. 

So, let’s take a moment and appreciate the defense and the fact that the Pac-12 South blows and we very well could be playing Washington again in the Championship game.

Defense has been above average every year under Whitt. I think fans are craving at least an average offense once every few years.
