Due to living in Denver, I have passively been hearing about how good Denver’s hockey program is, but the chatter got much louder that past week.
I sat down and watched all but about five minutes of the final between Denver and University of Minnesota – Duluth. What an exciting game, started bout fast but low scoring, the second period kind of exploded then settled in for a hard fought third period.
Highlight had to be after the game, seeing the DU player who broke his ankle come back out on the ice, on carpet, and get in the picture with his teammates with a smile from ear to ear. Great way to end the day.
