Chicago Bulls Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas announced Friday that Jim Boylen has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

Boylen first came to Chicago as an associate head coach during the 2015-16 season and was named the team’s 23rd head coach on Dec. 3, 2018. During his time at the helm of the Bulls, he compiled an overall record of 39-84 (.317).

How Boylen can have any head coaching job higher than high school is mind boggling to me.

The same can be said about Krystkowiak.

Larry K is a much better coach than Boylen.  But that isn’t necessarily saying much.

Larry K doesn’t shout at the crowd as enthusistically as Boylen used to.

(Does seem to shout at the guys in stripes more though)

I almost forgot about Boylen’s post game scream-in-the-mic routine!  Thanks for the reminder – Good times!

Larry is a much better coach than Jim Boylen and its not even close. If there is a season this year (fingers crossed), I think we see marked improvement from the team because they’ll all be a year older (and more developed) plus they only really lost Both Gach, who was likely going to take on a much reduced role. Their other two losses were Caleb Lohner (to BYU), which isn’t Krystkowiak’s fault because that kid is a traitor, and rarely used Matt Van Komen (the big kid from Pleasant Grove), who transferred to Saint Mary’s.
