If the schedules get blown up from covid again this year, maybe he’ll get to play the TDS.

Man, no diss to Bentley, but whats the point?
If I had the opportunities Bentley has, I would be full force trying to show I can get there.
what’s the point? play as long as they’ll let you before you have to decide what you want to do when you grow up. if you’re lucky, no one will ever make you
Maybe he saw how much publicity Zach Wilson was getting putting up “Heisman”-esque stats by doing nothing more than throwing against weak SOS Sun Belt teams, and figured, “Hey….I can do that too!” And who plays more Sun Belt teams than the Sun Belt themselves. BYU comes close, but who wants to go to BYU?
🤣🤣🤣
The problem with that theory is you are throwing to sunbelt talented receivers and have a sunbelt talented offensive line too.
Best of luck. I won’t miss him but I hope he does well.
looked at in retrospect, Bentley wasn’t ready to go when Rising went down. Whether that’s on him or the coaching staff is up for debate. What’s not up for debate are the results he produced the first two games which were a bunch of turnovers. After the Washington game, Bentley appeared to have changed his style and was much more tentative which can only be assumed to have included a talk on the importance of not giving the ball to the other team.
starting with the Oregon State game, Bentley missed open receivers at the most crucial times but also did not make any more devastating mistakes. I posit that given a normal training camp, and the usual buildup against inferior teams – otherwise known as the standard Utah OOC schedule, Bentley would have performed much closer to the expectations we all had for him.
Just saw that Major Applewhite is the new OC at South Alabama. Memory fails but I thought he did a pretty good job at Houston (or Texas?) in the same capacity. Might not be a bad place to land where the pressure is off with an OC that will feature your skillset.
