– #Pac12 deal with Fox & ESPN pays avg of 20.8m/school over the 12 years.
– #Big12 now at 31.6/school
– Difference is 10.8m
– To equal B12, P12 needs 51.9% increase
– Big 12 got 43.6% uptick (22m to 31.6m)
And yet, when you remove Texas and Oklahoma from the Big 12, the PAC-12 (even minus UCLA and USC) has much more marketable teams. There’s nothing in the remaining Big 12 that compares to the ratings that Oregon, Washington, and Utah get on television.
