Here is how this team has progressed from the first half of the season (6 games) to now (5 games).

Our offense averaged 31.5 PPG and 401.1 YPG in the first half and are now averaging 41.2 PPG and 471.8 YPG.

Our defense allowed 22.6 PPG and 347 YPG in the first half and are now allowing 21.8 PPG and 333.8 YPG.

But here is the biggest and most important stat, IMO. We averaged 1.6 turnovers per game in the first half and are now averaging .2 turnovers per game.

In my opinion, third-down conversion has been the biggest difference-maker.  We were in the 25% range at the start of the season.  We were near 80% for the Ducks.

Also red zone scoring. During the bye week, I posted that Utah was around #120 with only 13 scores in 20 tries (10 TD’s).

Being able to finish off drives the last 7 games has been huge. The only loss featured the one game when Utah didn’t take full advantage of all their chances.
