With Chip possibly getting fired soon, the PAC-12 south coaching carousel could be pretty wild this off-season. USC, UCLA, and ASU (feels like this is the end for Herm) should all have new coaches next season. UofA and CU are both doo doo right now as well, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see changes there. Thank heavens for Whitt.

So which coaches in the PAC12 are completely safe?

Oregon

Utah

Oregon State

On the fence:

Stanford (Shaw has been a great coach, but he needs to have a winning record.  If Shaw leaves, KW will be the only conference coach with 5 or more years experience in the Pac12.)

Colorado and Arizona (I think both are too new to pull the plug.)

Cal

Washington (I gotta believe the administration is very unhappy.)

Arizona’s coach is 100% safe and Colorado’s is 95% safe.

I wouldn’t be shocked if ASU held onto Herm one more season if only because it will be tough this season to land a top coach considering all the big coaching vacancies.
