Chuck Stobart passed away

Chuck Stobart passed away on Nov 29th. I know it was a long time ago to most of you, but he was the head coach of the Utes from 1982 to 1984, being replaced by Jim Fassel. Our condolences to the Stobart family.

Had a few years with teams that gave powerhouses like Texas and Arizona State fairly competitive battles and a heart-breaking loss to TDS in 1982.

I was at that BYU game. Tough one, but fun game. We had a chance.

Chuck Stobart was a hard-nosed coach.  He was tough and was all about winning the game in the trenches.  He played more of an option-attack with the passing game mixed in.  I was surprised that he was let go after only three years.  I liked him.
