Does ANYONE here think he could play in the NBA right now?

I’m going to say somewhere between hell and no.

More importantly when is Kuzma’s deadline to announce he’ll be playing for the Utes this fall.

I hope you know I’m also entering the NBA draft.

This is smart by Collette. No one, not even he, thinks he would be drafted this year. BUT, he gets to talk to scouts. He gets to get evaluated. He gets a scouting report. He can see what scouts think of him. He can find areas to improve this summer.

      Great move by him.

He needs NBA scouts to tell him what he needs work on?  He could just read Ute Hub.

I’ll give him his first evaluation:

          Stop falling over.

This summer he could work on that 62.5% Free Throw percentage.   All he needs is a hoop and a 15 foot stripe.
Jayce Johnson should definitely join him.

Agreed. Personally, I don’t understand why every college player doesn’t declare for the NBA draft every year. You get a free evaluation of your game from the best in the business. It’s like having Phil Mickelson give you an in-depth evaluation of your golf swing for free.

The Utes have a former NBA coach on staff, that should be a great start.

If I, a general duffer, went to Phil Mickelson and asked him to evaluate my suitability for the PGA Tour I would not expect to get a useful evaluation.  First I’d have to wait for him to stop laughing.
