He ran a 4.4 forty today in the Pro camp. I knew he was quick and had great moves, but I did not know that he was that fast. I am beginning to believe he will get a chance in the NFL. The Rose Bowl helped his chances IMO.
He has the “Barry” thing. He gets people to go one direction and he cuts on a dime in the other direction. Breaks ankles and makes fools out of defenders.
It’s the coolest thing to watch. While most players would do a 30-degree cut, Covey does a 45-degree cut which makes him propel even more. He doesn’t slow down because of this.
I was going to say the same thing. Peppins appears to have plenty of speed. Hopefully he has even half of the field awareness and shiftiness that Covey has.
