that we had the performance we did against NIU. The team has clearly heard all the frustrations and criticism from both fans and media. Tyler Huntley expressed frustration about this specifically. They are absolutely aware that Sports Illustrated and ESPN both left them off of their bowl projections this week. I think they needed this.
This offseason was as much hype and optimism as I can remember hearing in some time. This team had smoke blown up their ass all August. What I hope is that this last few weeks of media/fan bashing has at least reminded them that they still have so much to prove. The potential of this team is sky high, but talent and potential are very far away from being great.
This team has so much to prove. As long as they understand that I fully believe they will. And it starts tomorrow. I cant wait
