I just asked someone who sits very near the spot pictured in this Twitter thread if this happened, and they said that it did happen.

      Did anyone see/hear this?

I didn’t hear that, but there were a whole bunch of a**holes in the NW corner who thought it was hilarious to yell “SHUT UP” then “NO, YOU SHUT UP” at the top of their lungs during the moment of silence.

      I was p**sed.

To suggest that Lowe was a thug is as blatantly racist as it gets. The image that comes to mind for me every time I think of Lowe is him kneeling in prayer in the south end zone at LES prior to the start of the game. Clearly showing thanks to BYU fans for their willingness to honor Ty. Aaron was very obviously proud to be wearing #22. I’ve been to many BYU Utah games over the years, and that was an all time favorite moment for me, even then, before he passed. Those are not the actions of a thug! I don’t want to believe that there are people in this world who would be so quick to judge another because of the color of their skin.
