Go jazz.
Mitchell is so good. Just sucks that they won’t be able to keep him. The days of Malone and Stockton are long gone.
He actually lobbied to be here, so I’d say the chances of him sticking around are pretty good.
Link?
Seriously Clarke? Is your name Newbomb or something. There were only about a hundred interviews with him that he expressed the desire to be here.
The largest reason why I could see he lobbied to be here is playing time was higher probability. Not because he intends on signing a long term deal.
It’s too bad they couldn’t get Gobert to sign a long term deal? Oh wait.
Largely because he believed Hayward was staying. I have no clue why when Celtics hired his former coach and his attempt to leave to Memphis already. I almost wonder though if Spidey would be this far along with Hayward starting still.
We have 5.5-6.5 more years guaranteed with him before this is even an issue. So not sure its an issue worth worrying about yet.
Business model of the NBA makes you always think about it. Yeah I am not tied to management in anyway but look what the Jazz got for Hayward. It is bittersweet as a Jazz fan.
I don’t follow the NBA or the Jazz that closely. I simply asked for a link to substantiate your claim. If you don’t want to provide a source, just ignore my post and move on.
I am so sick of snarky responses to simple questions.
If I had a nickel for every time a pro athlete or a coach said “this is exactly where I want to be” only to make a hasty exit at the next available opportunity, I could retire.
I think most of us don’t understand what it’s like to have your commitment to your employer questioned publicly, and to have your response be public.
In other words, don’t put a lot of stock in any athlete or coach saying they want to stay where they are. It’s mostly gamesmanship and smart business.
Signed, Kevin Durant.
Jazz are a dleague team for the rest of the major markets.
Every draft prospect lobbies to every team to be drafted as early as possible.
They really got lucky on this one but with everyone’s desire once they are a super star is leave what chance do they have?
Add in all the Utah minuses. Guys like Lillard or Westbrook who want to win in the city they are in are hard to come by.
I like Gobert but I feel like his offensive game has plateaued. Excellent defender top three for centers defensively. I also really love the AB, Spidey backcourt. Pickup up something for Hood and we may have something here.
When teams that have superstars come knocking he will leave.
Yeah. In 2022/3 he might leave. Until then, consider the Lillie’s of the goddamned field and enjoy what we got.
Well I doubt his college coach will be courting him to a new spot.
This is way too funny thanks for the chuckle.
Or uncheck a category. Boom done I turn off Zoob category and don’t miss it at all.
