Big 12 can hold a conference title game without expanding. “The vote passed 7-2 with the ACC and AAC voting against it and the Pac-12 opting not to vote.”
OH NO! The zoobs biggest fears have now been realized! Cue the “now the Pac-12 can kick out Utah and ______?” on Dnews, KSL and SLTrib.
Get your ‘read between the lines’ glasses ready, the spin from Provo and the zoob-approved SLC media should be interesting.
…And so it begins. I pulled this from KSL from the article ‘NCAA votes to allow…”
“Where does this leave Utah. Can a conference boot an un-needed team:
Utah is not really a revenue generating team for the Pac.
Travel costs would be greatly reduced.
The TV market does not generate much money for the Pac.
And really the Pac could share the bowl money with less teams.”
Utah is NOT part of this equation dumbass. And of course it’s always Utah, not Wazzu-Oregon State-Colorado (mix and match as you see fit). Always Utah as the first to go in their little fantasy world.
It leaves Utah exactly where they are now, full members of the Pac-12.

What’s so ironic about these Zoob arguments is that each of them apply to BYU-P and even moreso. Basically, they’re digging their own grave. Too funny.
What a bunch of crap. Of course, reading KSL is a sure guarantee you’ll find just that.
Rent free.
The big difference is that the current PAC 12 revenue model was built with Utah as part of the mix, the Big 12 model was built with only 10 teams in the mix. Adding teams would affect the bottom line from that contract.
How ridiculous. No one in their right mind will have a championship game and a round robin. Now they may only schedule six conference games or something like that to try to avoid a second meeting. I am certain the PAC 12 is not considering booting anyone so they can do likewise.
