Does Nate get to play in Rose Bowl?

I believe so since game takes place in 2023.

Why does redshirt even matter? If he is good enough to play, he’ll play. In the long term, if he’s good enough that we care about keeping him for one more year, he’d probably leave early anyway. If he’s bad enough that he needs an extra year to develop, he won’t be our starting QB.

Either way it doesn’t matter.

4 games was hit last night. Conf Champ was the goal. Bowl game counts in the previous season.

HIGHLY doubt he plays in the Rose provided Cam plays it’s almost assuredly Barnes as the backup.

I say ask him, but my guess is he’d love to play, even if only 2-3 snaps like last night.

Could it be considered that Nate is good enough he may not need 4 more years even considering an injury. Oddly, Whitt may not be concerned with 2026. It would seem if Nate is on course to graduate and be gone in ’25 Whitt would let him chose to play in such a historic last true Rose Bowl. Odds are we don’t always finish a year at this height.

NJ seems like a great talent. But we have only seen him throw one ball in game.

Who cares if he burns his red shirt this year. If he does burn it, he still has 3 to play 4. If he is amazing, he is gone in 2 anyways. Heaven forbid that he gets injured and then needs to use the RS that year or a year to rehab. Remember Covey.

Plus another P12 championship is going to help recruiting. Perhaps we get another 4*, or fingers crossed, lucky rabbits foot, salt over the shoulder 5* qb.
