We were a 27 point favorite and I thought that was crazy, but I still expected us to dominate. We did dominate their D line on those first to series. We were blowing them back and at that point I thought Booker would have 200+ yards and we’d win big. But then we seemed to go totally flat for the 2nd quarter and much of the 3rd.
If you just look at stats on paper, we were pretty efficient on offense. No turnovers. High passing completion percentage, bla bla bla. On defense we held them to 12 points, and had we not given up that one big play it probably would have been 6.
27-12. Hard to complain about that but we still seemed flat to me. Maybe we were looking past them or playing down to their level, which we often do?
