Happy for Caleb! Still wished we would have utilized him more last year. 4 receptions and 4 TDs. Would have liked 8 and 8!

IMO, we had good talent on the roster last year even when we lost Rising, but I just believe Whitt fumbled the QB room so badily sticking with Wilson up until he got injured. As much as he didn’t trust Rose, Rose was beating TDS and doing it convincingly until he got hurt, which leads me to believe Whitt should’ve made a QB change one or two games before the BYU game and maybe we woulda been bowl eligible and beaten BYU, but we’ll never know. I recall the Alabama-Georgia national championship game when Nick Saban made a QB change at the beginning of the 2nd half and started Tua Tagavailoa where Alabama made a comeback and won the national championship in OT.

Even though Whitt has had a good winning record in his coach career, he is not the kind of head coach that will win a national title because his coaching philosphical approach is not like those of a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. It could significantly help if his roster was littered with 4 and 5 star recruits where I think that could’ve significantly been a difference maker, but we are not Ohio Sts, Texass or the USCs of college football.

Denver Broncos ownership love players from Utah.

Seanb Payton drafted Jimmy Graham in NO, a college bb player, and he turned out to be pretty good.

The crazy thing is that Lohner played just 57 snaps in his college football career. Contrast that with Travis Hunter, who played 149 snaps in just one game.

Just goes to show that if the goal is to make it to the league, you should go at your first opportunity. Kuithe and Rising should have both gone after 2021 and would have been mid-rounders
