I still liked our chances with five minutes left against all odds. This was a matchup of two elite defenses. The Utes stayed on the field for almost the whole game, thus I judge their performance in not giving up a touchdown five stars. If the Utah offense could have produced maybe one, or two drives, we should have won. But alas it was not to be. Our freshman QB made freshman mistakes, and we lost. I also judge the UW defense five stars because they literally won the game. If this were an SEC game, it might just go down in history as one of the greats, between defensive giants, but because it’s the PAC-12, where offense is expected, then it’s seen as some great disappointment. Not to me!
I’m in awe of these kids. They did unbelievably well in November given the long odds. What a gutsy team! What a gutsy season! We’ll be back to this game… Soon.
