  Not sure what to think of this new AD. Does he have a spine? Does he have a vision of what Utah football should be ? Or is he just happy to have a cool parking spot?

        Yeah big risk. He was brought in to raise funds.
        
        He may have a hard decision if fUCLA and Zona are Utah’s only wins. Ironically this team reminds of Gary Andersons OSU teams.

      heh… that’s funny. This school does not raise funds in an effort to win. They raise funds to get more money for the university and it’s employees (not including the coaches).
      
      Winning is clearly not the priority at this university.

        To be fair 7-8 wins is packing it in at RES and they have raised Crimson Club donations like every season. So yeah NOT winning the Pac12 is doing just fine in a monetary sense imo.

  I think as long as Whit keeps winning enough games to get a bowl game + beat BYU, the boosters won’t have the stomach to push to fire him. McBride made it easier by having losing seasons.

  Why? He’s loaded us up on awful non-conference schedules for the next several years. He wasn’t able to expand RES before leaving. He’s allowed Whitt to go 28-37 in PAC-12 play. Just absolutely below average AD. Did he get us into a Power 5 conference? Yes. But it’s kinda like Whitt’s Sugar Bowl. How long can you ride one wave?

  Remember when Hill was playing hardball with Whit on his contract extension so Whit started flirting with other schools, and then Hill got booed at the basketball game a couple nights later? I bet you were one of the ones booing. Assuming you go to basketball games.
