If they didn’t get us this year, I don’t see it happening for a while…

I was unable to go to the game this year, but from watching it on tv it seemed obvious to me that this was BYUs best chance to beat us for a while.  Our penalties really held us back and kept that game far closer than it was. Give us another game or two and I would bet the coaches get them cleaned up.  I just kept thinking ‘we have a productive offense, what do we do now?’  Good things are coming, and hopefully sooner than we expect 🙂

Agreed. I actually thought this might be the year they got us. Utah had:
– Only one game of experience with a new OC
– Only one game of experience with a completely new offense
– Only one game of experience with a new QB
– Only one game of experience with a new RB
– Only returning a handful of starters on both sides of the ball

I think this is one of those years where Utah is going to improve markedly over the course of the season. So having this game early in the year, I thought BYU-P actually had a pretty good shot. But they failed. And I don’t see them having as good of a bite at the apple for a long time.

On another note, please cancel the remainder of the series, Dr. Hill. This absolutely can’t be our “A” non-conference game.
