Look, reality is this: Troy wasn’t very good last year.

      Look at PAC-12 stats:

      Scoring offense: 8
      Total Offense: 7
      Passing yards: 9
      Pass Efficiency (team): 10
      3rd down conversion: 8
      Ref Sone Offense: 11
      Pass Avg/game: 6
      Pass Efficiency: 8/10 eligible QB’s
Total offense from a QB: 7

      He threw for 53%.

BUT, and here is the KILLER:

Turnovers. Troy put the ball in the ground at an ALARMING rate. He threw 15 TD’s and rushed for 5 more.

He threw 8 INT’s and fumbled the ball 11 times.

      That’s 20 TD’s and 19 INT’s/fumbles.

      That is not that good.

I’m glad someone outplayed him. I’m glad we are getting better.

Say what you want about Wilson but I seem to remember him being pretty good in the red zone. We were so bad in the red zone last year it was infuriating to watch

I’m hopeful that just another true run threat in the red zone will be enough to turn some of those FG attempts into touchdowns.
