in man free. The margin between us chosing whether we want to defend the run or the pass may be as small as its ever been. The potential of this defense really is sky high. Long way to go. A lot to prove. But we are going to suffocate some teams this year

Our defense is good, but here comes the skepticism. Jaylen Johnson is getting beat up the sideline, a couple of times vs NIU and even Weber. We haven’t played a QB yet that can drop that pass in.

We’re gonna have to go cover 2 to defend the fade against proper PAC12 QBs. This’ll make it harder to defend the run. We can still do it pretty well, but it will be harder to keep opponents under 24 points. And with Utah’s offense, it’s gonna be hard to outscore 24 points.

Also, our time of possession against NIU was only 28 minutes because a lot of three and outs. NIU had a crap offense but they still held the ball longer. So our defense is on the field a lot. I don’t care how good our defense is, if they’re on the field for 35+ minutes vs Washington, they’re gonna be tired and start giving up big plays.

that was once and I thought it was a cover 2. Jaylon let him go. He thought he had safety over the top
