…yup, men’s basketball game, and it sucked. Holy puck…no wonder attendance is way down. Some of the lowest BB IQ I have ever seen. For some reason, I though Gach was a better player, but he just didn’t show up. I know this is a “transition” year, but still.
I’m curious how next year’s team will be. A touted PG in Jones coming in, but still a freshmen. A relatively athletic 7’4″ Van Komen who’s very skinny, but seems quite coordinated. A 6’10/6’11” return-missionary in Carlson who was quite athletic prior to leaving. An athletic Thioune should be back from injury. Timmy A wil have another year under his belt. Battin — he’s a role player, IMO. Curious how Gach will develop. Tillman. Not a clue about Gaskin.
For this year, I just don’t know. It’s a sad state of affairs. From a pure basketball vantage point, this year’s WBB is definitely better, no doubt in my mind. Candidly, more fun to watch, but then I’m more of a purist.
