A graphic like this one demonstrates why the interlocking U’s is not a good logo for us. Unless you are really familiar with the University of Utah, you might mistake that logo for Indiana or Houston. The Drum and Feather, on the other hand . . .

Short story. My wife is a retired CNA. She had a client who’s husband is a steel worker. He was home when my wife was there to give his wife a bath and he is also a big Ute fan. Christmas was about a month away. When we were opening presents she handed me a large flat, about 2ft x2ft, present. Inside was drum and feather cut out of 1/16 steel. It was done by his C&C machine. I still need to paint it, but haven’t been able to yet. Brought tears to my eyes, 2nd best present ever. Best was a Father’s Day gift of a trip to the Notre Dame game. We lost, but it was a great trip for us.
