Every game a team plays in the tournament is worth “one unit.” Each unit is worth $300,000/yr paid over six years to the conference. So far, The Pac-12 has earned 16 units. That equals $28.8m total, or $400k/yr to each school for six years. GO Pac-12! The Pac-12 record for units earned is 17.

The U will get $2.4M over six years for this success. Sadly, BYU gets $1.8M over six years for losing their first round game. :/

Well since the winner of the Ore-USC Sweet 16 matchup guarantees we’ll be putting at least ONE team in the Elite 8, we’ll definitely be hitting that record.

Or at least we will assuming we’d received credit for the Ducks default win in the first round.  Do you know for certain that that one counted?

I counted the winner of that game. 16 is guaranteed. We need one of the other three to match it. As for the play-in game, and the no-contest game, Wilner says they count.

Will Arizona be receiving anything for 2021?  Or will that $28.8M be split 11-ways through 2026?

Yeah, no, That’s $400K/yr for AZ to buy recruits. That’s a lot of recruits.
