Well unfortunately Oregon pulled off the win last night at UCLA. Now our only hope at a Pac-12 championship is the Ducks losing at USC on Saturday, which I don’t think is very likely.
Boy those missed foul shots in the first Stanford game and the bad Taylor foul are really haunting us now unfortunately, or we might have already won the championship.
UCLA had a 14 pt lead at one point. Complete let down.
Actually we are toast now anyway. Ducks would have the tiebreaker I suppose.
Thats actually incorrect.
If we tie with the Ducks we will be Co-Champions.
The tie breaker only affects seeding for the Pac-12 tournament.
Then GO USC. Pains me to say that but…
If we tie with the Ducks we will be Co-Champions.
UCLA was just sloppy. They got killed on both Offensive and Defensive rebounding. UCLA was 5-16 on 3 point shots; Oregon was even worse at 7-24. I swear that Oregon was just leaving the door open to UCLA, but UCLA could not convert. Tony “dough boy” Parker is pathetic. Isaac Hamilton who torched Utah with 3s, was just 1-5 on 3s. He still scored 19 points.
There is hope. USC torched Oregon St with 56 points in the first half before backing off the go pedal and coasting in the 2nd half to a 9 point win. A USC win over Oregon would not help Utah get a No. 1 in the PAC 12 Tourney, but it would allow Utah, with a win over CU, to claim share of the Conference Championship. So we are all Trojan fans on Saturday.
Tony “dough boy” Parker is pathetic.
Really? Parker was 8-10 from the field, for 18 pts. Unless you’re talking sole Rebs. that isn’t pathetic.
I actually thought he was their only player playing well until Alford started hitting threes late.
Rebounding and defense were pathetic. Alford has lost this team. Only need to look at Elgin Cook’s dunk in the first half where their defense essentially parted like the Red Sea allowing Cook a straight lane to the basket the size of a freeway.
