Is there any definitive word yet on whether Shelley is going to redshirt this year? Keeping all of his eligibility intact seems like a no-brainer since either Troy or Bateman can step in this year if needed but will both be gone next year… I know it’s been rumored but I haven’t seen anything definitive on this.
He is red shirting, but technically you don’t redshirt until after the season. There is no way Shelley plays this year with Huntley, Bateman and Troy ahead of him.
That’s right, it’s not until after the fact that the redshirt is declared. Which explains why those redshirting dress for games and are able to “burn” the redshirt if circumstances require. Thanks for the refresher course!
