Just because he can kick it into the endzone. I don’t know anything about his ability to kick field goals.
Lehi up 35-0 at the half in the 5A semifinals.
I think that High School kicks from the 40. College kicks from the 35.
I have not seen him kick but unless they are at least 10-15 yards deep, could be questionable.
Yes, they kick from the 40. But our current guys rarely make it into the end zone. I was posting TIC. However, we should find the best kicker in HS football and develop him.
We have given up way too many yards on our lackluster kickoffs and poor coverage. It has been costly. In our elevation, we should be getting touchback every kickoff in RES. This seems like something that should be fixable, but …
Does Ben Vroman have a college age kid yet? Seems like he was the furthest KO guy we’ve had in the last 20 years.
I get it and agree with you.
I don’t think it is the athlete. It is clearly coaching. Because who ever does it can do it and then suddenly can’t. I feel like something is broken in coaching. Which is weird because it feels like things started to decline with Jay Hill leaving but Utah got lucky a few times after that. The blocking and coverage definitely declined after Hill left.
Which one? 46 or 47? 46 is a sophomore and 47 is a senior. Both of them have a leg, but their accuracy drives me crazy (I go to school there). But, they do need kicks out of the back of the end zone, not just accuracy.
I had to laugh at the AZ game when an early kick off went into the end zone and there was much applause by the crowd. I love Utah fans. Seriously good people who can laugh at themselves and not take themselves too seriously.
Yep, that was funny. If you were just listening – you would have thought that something big happened, like a fumble.
Haha yeah that was fun
