Joe Burrow — Couldn’t win the starting job at his original school so he entered the portal. Didn’t do much, just proceeded to have the greatest single QB season in CFB history en route to a Heisman and Natty. Typical transfer portal trash.
Justin Fields — Couldn’t win the starting job at his original school so he entered the portal. Ohio State turns to the lowly transfer portal for a QB and picks up Fields. They go on to become undefeated Big10 champions, #2 seed in the CFP, and were a play away from making the national championship. Bet OSU learned their lesson when it comes to taking chances on transfers.
Jalen Hurts — Lost his starting position at his original school so he entered the portal. Smashed school records in his first game with his new team, and led them to a Big12 championship and CFP berth. Just more transfer portal government cheese.
Those are examples from just this past season. Clearly teams are screwed and bad at recruiting if they’re relying on transfers to come in and make a difference — especially at QB. Safe to say Utah is screwed going into 2020 with two transfer QB’s.
