        I know that is what it looks like, but this is commonplace in coaching. Instead of risk losing an assistant, you give them a token title that doesn’t really mean anything but it justifies giving them a raise and the assistant sticks around.
        
        In this case, I’m sure Whit was worried that a flatout demotion from Co-OC back to OL coach would make Harding leave. So to let Harding save face, he ‘promotes’ him to Assistant Head Coach.
        
        I would love to hear what his new duties include as the assistant head coach. Fetching Whit a cup of coffee before a coaches meeting, perhaps?
        
        Harding is the OL coach. Nothing more.

        Harding will leave after this season so what do I care. Harding should be on his knees groveling before Whitt before feeling any animosity towards him.

  I agree, the Oline looks confused on every play. They let at least 1-2 rushers in on every pass play. Not sure if it’s a Harding or Taylor issue, but they are horrid right now. Problem is our D is just as bad as the O. Our whole team/coaching staff is pretty pathetic right now.

  – Coaches fault because we don’t have the talent up front on the lines?
  – We have the talent but coaches doing a bad job with the schemes?
