    With today’s NBA and officiating you really need inside players that can hit freethrows. If I’m a GM I don’t sign anyone who can’t hit at least 75-80% from the line. OKC Thunder is winning games that way (team FT 80%), young guys who can hit from 3 and also drive the lane. They’ll get the fouls called inside often, plus you have a lot more FTs with “flagrant 1” and “flagrant 2″s being called that can lead to points, even from the bigs. Gobert shoots 61% FT and is trending down year-by-year.

      Gobert was improving from the line. He is so emotional but guys were just fouling him like crazy lately. He needs to play with more control but keep the energy. It is like a sword it cuts both ways with him.
      Smart coaching Rockets and Spurs. Better to take the 61% vs then 90-100% he is shooting.
