Not good news for the team down south…
Link? If so, that’s pretty funny.
It’s all over Twitter as well. TDS has no bowl for 2017 or 2018. 2019 they have Hawaii bowl
They dont have a bowl tie in for NEXT season? That tells me they are desperately trying not to have to sign with something like the New Mexico or Boise Potato bowl, and considering going without a tie in and hoping for not enough 6 win teams. Could come back to bite them hard.
Well, Utah will be their bowl game in 2018 because the game is Nov 24. So at least they have that going for them.
Basically byu put the Poinsettia bowl out of business. Ok got it.
Beat me to it. For a school that constantly brags about what they bring to the table, I find it hilarious that their appearance causes a bowl to go out of business.
In fairness, it probably has more to do with the Chargers leaving. But BYU has no bowl next year so lol.
I can’t let fairness get in the way of my argument.
WOW.
Sucks to be them.
See TDS-P this is why we can’t have nice things.
Miami Brawl Bowl, bring it!
You know, they would be smart to just join the AAC and be done with it. They could play Memphis, UConn, Cincy, Tulsa, Toledo, etc., every year.
They were so foolish and arrogant to leave the MWC. They could’ve played in a NY6 once in a while now that there’s a G5 autobid.
I’m guessing this is ultimately a result of the Chargers leaving SD. Everything won’t be maintained as it would if San Diego was still going through the season. It would cost a bunch of money to host the game now that makes it non-lucrative
