Give me your best reason why I should watch this game today:
Myrtle Beach Bowl – Old Dominion vs. Tulsa; 2:30pm ET on ESPN
Because its slightly more interesting than a ED infomerical.
But both could have side effects lasting four or more hours!
Because Tulsa beat Memphis, who beat Miss St, who beat Texas A&M, who beat Bama. Using the BYU-Provo method of transitive properties, Tulsa is the real SEC champs and should be in the playoffs over Bama.
Somewhere there are website(s) named something like “my team is better than your team” where you can enter in essentially any 2 teams and unless one of them is winless and/or one is undefeated, it will try to show
A beat B who beat C ……. who beat J so therefore Team A is better than Team J.
I love the tagline – ‘taking illogical arguments to the absurd extremes since 2008’.
Well, BYU beat us, but we beat Oregon who beat Fresno St who beat Nevada who beat Boise St who beat BYU.
Even shorter, we beat UCLA > LSU > TAMU > Alabama by a combined score of 150-113. Since Alabama beat UGA, we are also better than them.
We beat Oregon who beat Ohio St. (we’ll have our chance to make this shorter) who is better than Cinci because Ohio St. beat Indiana 54-7 while Cinci only beat them 38-24. Ohio St. also beat Michigan St. who beat Michigan.
Why aren’t we in the playoffs? 😉
So for fun…
BYU>Virigina>Illinois>Charlotte>Rice>UAB (so that’s the five degrees of separation argument)
Therefore, BYU is better than UAB in 5 rounds by a combined score of 193-125
UAB>BYU
Therefore, UAB is better than BYU in 1 round by a combined score of 31-28
Oregon>Oregon St>Utah
Therefore, Oregon is better than Utah in 2 rounds by a combined score of 80-63
Utah>Washington St>Oregon St>Utah
Therefore, Utah is better than Utah in 3 rounds by a combined score of 97-71
Had to find a really funny one. These are the mental gymnastics TSPP are so good at.
1-11 Florida International is better than Utah because…
Florida Intl | is better than | Rice | because Florida Intl only lost to WKU 19-34 while Rice lost to WKU 21-42 |

How about we go the Division II route? These are funny. Lamar beat one team but lost to a division II school.
