  #1 Oklahoma just beat #2 Florida 198.325 to 198.025. Do the judges on the east coast score different? Those numbers are really high.

    The answer to your question is “yes”. Sports like Gymnastics, Ice Skating, Diving, and Freestyle Skiing/Snowboarding have somewhat of an “arbitrary” scoring system, where 5 judges can see the exact same thing, yet award 5 different point levels. And it’s long been reported that east coast judges are more generous with their scoring. But that’s not a big deal, because in the end, the top 6 teams in the country will all be graded by the exact same arbitrary judges.
