PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers are set to host the Western Conference Final of the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs against Real Salt Lake on Dec. 4 at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific), the league announced tonight. The match will feature a national broadcast on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
Saturday’s match is Portland’s fourth meeting with Real Salt Lake in the 2021 campaign after sweeping the season series with three victories, two of them at Providence Park.
The two sides will meet in the playoffs for the fourth time in league history. Portland faced Real Salt Lake in the 2013 Western Conference Final, dropping a result in both legs on Nov. 10 and Nov. 24. They met again six seasons later in the first round of the 2019 playoffs on Oct. 19 before losing 2-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
