When the fUCLA player attempted to kick Pututau. If he had successfully stopped him is that a personal foul or hold? I know a hold results in a safety but does a personal foul in the endzone result in a safety?

I would google but want to discuss opinions on here.

It definitely would not count as a hold. Tripping would likely be the call. Not sure if that would result in a safety or not.

I wasn’t sure if tripping was its own call or just under a personal foul.

Depends on where the foul occurred?  The oline attempts to kick him at the one. So half the distance I believe.

      Tripping is a common foul
Ten yards and replay the down
In this case it would have been half the distance to the goal replay the down

All fouls committed in the end zone are considered safeties.
