Last night’s CFB rankings left WSU out of the top 12, and out of a New Year’s bowl. WSU is rightfully indignant, considering four 9-3 teams ahead of them. Okay one 9-3 team is worthy; Washington, with their head-to-head win over WSU last Friday.

“There is not a doubt in my mind that if WSU was named Stanford, USC, or UCLA they would be in the top 10,” Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt told USA TODAY.

All the more motivation for Utah to win on Friday, otherwise, as mentioned in another UteHub thread, Utah could fall to the Sun Bowl.

Florida is REALLY milking that win over (overrated) LSU. They lost by double digits at home to Kentucky (top 10 teams dont do this) and lost by 21 to Mizzou at home (they definitely dont do this)

Wazzu has a small alumni base and doesn’t travel well, College Gameday Flag notwithstanding. That’s the beginning and end of the consideration.

The favoritism shown the middle of the SEC is alarming, in particular when you analyze the schedule make-up of each team. Florida’s schedule is incredibly weak, and that is before you consider the fact that their one (Power 5) non-conference opponent (Florida State) was terrible this season.”
