Tough Game Today

It’s not an easy thing to ask Jason Shelley to make his first ever career start on the road in a total blizzard. Shelley showed he’s got a little gamer in him during last week’s game, so that’s a good sign, but today’s game will be a totally different type of game. We need our defense and running game to come up big. We need to hang on to the football. I see this as being a close, low scoring game, like a 17-14 type of game. We are a more complete team than Colorado and should pull it out. But one or two bounces the wrong way could be the difference, so this game still has me nervous.

Utah has never (to my recollection) been a one man show. Shelley has to play his game, play within his abilities, use the tools available to him. Shyne and Green need to hold on to the ball.  The Defense needs to show up big. Everyone does his job and this team will handle their business. If not, then it’s a long day in the snow ahead for the guys. Just like always.
