4* wide R. From Oregon Jalil Tucker visiting Utah this week. Could be the deep threat Utah was looking for if he commits.
Is he a WR? I see him listed as a DB on various websites
Yeah… I’ll care about wr recruits when they prove they can actually catch and get open. We have only had 1 of those guys since carrington left (two if you very generously include Vele)
And we need a QB who can get it to him.
I am confused by this post and the subsequent thumbs-ups. Are you implying that Rising can’t get the ball to him?
Someone is offended by my question, but not the knock on Rising.
Maybe I am missing something. Admittedly, I don’t pay attention to the football team as much as most of you. Does Rising not have a reliable ball at distance?
I don’t watch a lot of other college football teams to really compare but in my memory we’ve never had a QB who can, with any consistency, hit a receiver deep even when he has a step on his defender. Maybe that’s the hardest throw for a QB to make, idk?
i understand. BYWoo always seemed to be able to connect on long balls against us back in the day.
a deep source of consternation for the younger me
It didn’t matter the distance, 4th and 44…long ball, touchdown.
I wanted terrible things to happen to them.
You pushing threads down is trolling, bro. What country are you from? You spell colour, flavour and neighbour and other words the European way. Canada? You’re definitely a troll. Admin people can probably search his posts and see. Trying to destroy this blog.
Do I haunt your dreams in the underbrush?
Which province of Canada or New Zealand makes most sense to you?
This message board will definitely die for as long as you are around. Good job, mate.
I respect your opinion.
Can presumed foreigners like myself be Utah fans?
Even if they have an anarchist tugboat as a companion?
Rising can get a ball to a WR. At one point he was rehabbing his arm for the long ball. I expect as he comes back his running may be coming along but his arm will be fine. I understand Rose is fine with distance and accuracy but growing the rest of his game. Johnson is very much an unknown in the passing game but we also have not seen that his passing game is weak. We don’t know who will be passing on Florida we just need one of the three possible options to be ready to go. I get the angst because Rising was not sharp in game 1 last year as well as Brewer in game 1 the year before. I just think we are due to see the offense running well out of the shoot. My guess is we see Rising in more of a pocket passer role until fully healthy to run. To keep his snap count down we may see either of the other two as well leaning more toward Johnson.
I think Covey was consistent.
Yes… and he’s the only one we’ve had besides maybe Vele since Carrington. That was the point of my post.
He is a cornerback. He was one of the top 10 recruits in ÇA rwo years ago.
He enters the portal yesterday and he’s visiting Utah this week? Link? Source?
I don’t have a link for the Oregon xfer but I do have s link for a 2024 DE commit
2024 commit Vili Taufatofua
