I’ve been working hard on a long list of awesome new features for the next version of the Ute Hub app. I’ve run into a pretty hairy snag on youtube videos for the app. On the site they’re automagically encoded to embed and play etc with the user only having to paste the youtube URL. But when that comes back from the server, it’s formatted in a way that can’t display on the app. Hard to explain, but the net result is blank post where there should be a video or link to the video. I’ve been hammering on that for hours and it’s getting me pretty p**sed. I’ll be taking a break on that.
Other new features which are now working in my development version of the app and will be in the next release:
User Registration
Avatar Management (upload, delete etc)
Edit posts/replies
Edit email address
Edit display name
I hope to figure out something on the video thing soon, then release the version. To find the app, go to your device’s app store and search for “Ute Hub.”
