Who thinks it would be cool to have the Ute Tribe do a dance and drum circle between the 3rd and 4th quarters of every game? That would be awesome!
And when can we see them do something at a basketball game?
I just love the drum circle and dancing.
I think it would be so cool if the teams built a preseason or offseason training facility on tribal grounds and employed some tribe members there. Also do some culture education for the student athletes while at that facility. Why not do the boot camp type of training on tribal grounds?
Maybe even honorary induction into the Tribe as part of getting your varsity letter or something? Anyway, I love this and think we should involve the tribe more and more.
Haven’t the last two years Ute Proud show been in a pouring rainstorm? Mom brought that up at the game, and I couldn’t remember. Regardless, it’s truly awesome to watch.
I’m proud that the university and the tribe have kept such a positive relationship through the years.
