Utopia internet – Anyone tried it?

  I’m going to dump Comcast TV right after March Madness and I’m wondering if I can sever all ties with them by switching to Utopia/xMission. It’s roughly the same price, but quite a bit faster (I don’t really do much where I need faster connections – Netflix, UteHub, porn…)
  
  If you’ve tried it or know about it, let me know what you think. Is it reliable? As fast as they advertise?

  Single best internet decision I have ever made was to go with xmission over utopia. Fast and reliable. Worth every penny. I will never consider buying a house outside of a Utopia city because of how solid it is.

    xMission over Utopia? I thought xMission provided Utopia?

      Utopia is a the fiber network that a select number of cities installed. Any ISP can provide services over Utopia. There are like 5 of them providing service over the network right now. Utopia by itself doesn’t get you internet, it just connects you to its network. XMission provides internet service over the network. They do a great job.
