When the Arizona story originally broke I had a conversation with a head coach at the U, non basketball but knows many of the basketball coaches, and he said that Markennan was truly torn between coming to Utah and AZ, and that when AZ offered to pay him $40k to come that tipped the scales in their favor. So I have heard from a decent source that he was paid $40k. We’ll see if that comes out in this report.
